Thanks to our association with a leading electrical testing company, we can now offer Portable Appliance Testing to your company.
It's a Health and Safety requirement for all businesses to prevent electrocution of anyone working on an electrical system or using an electrical appliance. Companies should also take steps to prevent electric fires and explosions that can put their workforce at risk and seriously disrupt the operation of the business.
To comply with the Electricity at Work Regulations all portable electrical appliances should be routinely inspected and tested by a competent person. The regulations apply equally to small companies, the self-employed and large organisations.
Portable Appliance Testing covers 230v/110v and some 415v appliances all of which have a plug. The testing consists of two separate activities: a visual inspection to check for damage and poor electrical standards, and a series of instrument tests to find less obvious electrical faults.

- Our 'partner' is accredited by an external organisation for Portable Appliance Testing
- All engineers are City & Guilds 2377 qualified
- Full method and risk assessments will be provided
- Your equipment will be calibrated on an annual basis with certificates for each piece of equipment supplied
- Re-test frequencies for your specific business will be identified
- There are no extra costs for out of hours or weekend work
- Fuses, plug tops and minimal repairs will be included in quotes - so there are no nasty surprises or hidden charges
We can normally repair machinery on-site, but if necessary we will take it back to our workshop, repair and return your equipment for no extra charge. It's a totally hassle-free service that makes everything easy for you.
